MONDAY

-11:14 p.m.: theft. Phronia Stanton, 809 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. B, reported $50 in cash was stolen from her residence.

-7:55 p.m.: property found. A debit card belonging to Kyle Harvey, of Troy, was found at 125 N. Main Ave.

-4:53 p.m.: property lost. Althea Brown, of St. Marys Ave., reported a bag containing coupons and cashier checks worth $150 was lost at 2100 Michigan St.

-4:50 p.m.: identity theft. Kailey Collins, 1812 Wapakoneta Ave., reported identity theft.

-4:25 p.m.: identity theft. Linda Parthemore, 316 N. Walnut Ave., reported someone used her identity to obtain a credit card.

-3:07 p.m.: theft. Amanda Collett, 811 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. F, reported someone stole her cell phone, valued at $30, from her residence.

-12:11 p.m.: theft. Leah Righter, 729 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. D, reported someone stole her cell phone, valued at $100, from 417 E. Court St.

-2:51 a.m.: aggravated robbery. Personnel at the Clark gas station, 125 W. Court St., reported the theft of $250 cash from the business.

SUNDAY

-6:26 p.m.: domestic violence. Police called to Walmart on a report of a domestic disturbance. Police arrested Steven A. Poppe, 41, 21487 Meranda Road, Maplewood, on a charge of domestic violence. He allegedly assaulted a juvenile. The juvenile had an apparent minor injury.

-3:02 p.m.: theft. Joseph Cramer, 615 Johnston Drive, reported an iPod, valued at $150, was stolen from a vehicle at the residence.

-1:10 a.m.: theft. Lucas Smith, 1539 Cedarbrook Place, reported a firearm, valued at $400, were stolen from his residence.

-12:58 a.m.: burglary. Elizabeth Smith, 209 1/2 E. North St., reported a food stamp card, birth certificate, Ohio ID and Social Security card were stolen from her residence.

SATURDAY

-10:40 p.m.: theft. Dollar General, 166 W. Court St., reported a theft from the store.

-9:40 p.m.: drug abuse and warrant. Police arrested Brandon M. Engley, 27, 508 S. Miami Ave., on a warrant and a drug abuse charge. He allegedly had a bag of marijuana.

-10:29 a.m.: violating protection order. Christine Elson, 221 1/2 E. South St., reported someone called and texted her multiple times in violation of a protection order from the court.

-9:45 a.m.: theft. Robert Deafenbaugh, 709 Norwood Ave., reported a cell phone, valued at $30, was stolen from a vehicle at 320 N. Main Ave.

-9:41 a.m.: theft. William Wiseman, 223 1/2 E. Court St., reported someone stole his TV, valued at $500, from 989 Buckeye Ave.

-12:32 a.m.: assault. Jonathan Stanley, 216 Robb St., Jackson Center, reported someone assaulted him at 1521 Michigan St.

FRIDAY

-7:42 p.m.: failure to comply with order of police officer and forgery. Personnel at Arbys restaurant reported a woman passed a counterfeit $100 bill at the business. Police arrested Romell M. Key, 21, of Cincinnati, and Arielle Jones, 19, of Detroit. Key was charged with failure to comply with an order of a police officer. Jones was charged with forgery. Key, with Jones as a passenger, had fled from police after the incident was reported. Key lost control while turning right from Grove Street onto Wagner Avenue. His auto went over the curb and hit the front porch at 432 N. Wagner. The car came to rest in the side yard. Key fled on foot and police later caught him.

-5 p.m.: possession of drugs. Police found a syringe and a rock of heroin in a vehicle at 1521 Michigan St.

-3:09 p.m.: warrant. Police arrested Alfred Stockton, 49, 329 Jefferson St., on a warrant from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office charging him with failure to provide a change of address.

-10:40 a.m.: warrant. Police arrested Brian Applegate, 23, 2533 Apache Drive, on a warrant from Miami County.

THURSDAY

-3:03 p.m.: assault. Jason Jackson, 569 Shie Ave., was assaulted at his residence. He had an apparent minor injury.

-11:57 a.m.: possession of drugs and criminal tools. Police found hypodermic needles and capsules containing heroin in a vehicle at Spruce Avenue and Fair Road.

Accidents

Jessica Donaldson, 28, of Dayton, was cited with a stop sign violation and leaving the scene of an accident after an accident Thursday at 12:23 p.m.

Donaldson was westbound on North Street and ran a stop sign at Highland Avenue. Her auto hit a car that was northbound on Highland and in the intersection. The driver of the other auto was Laura Triplett, 45, 734 Chestnut Ave. Donaldson drove away from the scene. Police later located her and she returned to the accident scene. Sidney Department of Fire & Emergency Services medics checked Triplett and a passenger, but they were not transported.

• Anthony Grimes, 47, of Dayton, was cited with failure to control after an accident Saturday at 9:06 p.m.

Grimes was westbound in the 200 block of Grove Street when his dog jumped onto his lap. This distracted Grimes and his auto hit the parked car of Bryan Grubb, 220 Grove St.

• Lindsey Michael, 21, 1577 E. Court St., Apt. A, was cited with failure to drive in marked lanes after an accident Friday at 2:15 p.m.

Michael was eastbound on Michigan Street on the Interstate 75 overpass in the left lane. She drove into the right lane and clipped an eastbound pickup truck driven by John Goings, 63, 432 Canal St., Port Jefferson. This caused Michael to go back into the left lane, where she hit an eastbound auto driven by Tamara Smith, 59, 8901 State Route 274, Kettersville. The Michael car then went right again and onto the sidewalk. Smith had possible injuries. The Sidney Department of Fire & Emergency Services took her to Wilson Memorial Hospital.

• Michael E. Holthaus, 62, 1921 Dingman-Slagle Road, was cited with failure to maintain an assured clear distance after an accident Monday at 7:47 a.m.

Holthaus was westbound on Court Street, near Fourth Avenue, and failed to stop for slower or stopped traffic. He struck in the rear a westbound car driven by Josh McMasters, 37, 202 Main St., Port Jefferson.

• An accident occurred Friday at 9:57 p.m.

Colleen Limbert, 38, 17911 E. Mason Road, turned left from Vandemark Road onto Michigan Street. Kenneth Bridges, 31, 4363 Hardin-Wapakoneta Road, turned right from Vandemark onto Michigan and the vehicles collided. No citations were issued.

Fire, rescue

MONDAY

-6:07 p.m.: alarm. Firefighters were called to 127 W. Poplar St. It was a false alarm.

-6:03 p.m.: transformer fire. Firefighters were called to a electrical transformer fire at 230 E. Court St.

-5:29 p.m.: carbon monoxide. Firefighters were called to 717 Westover St. The alarm was caused by a faulty carbon monoxide detector.

-5:36 a.m. to 5:16 p.m.: Medics responded to eight calls.

SUNDAY

-7:13 a.m. to 10:10 p.m.: Medics responded to six calls.

A minivan crashed into some guy wires, which pulled down a utility line, at the intersection of Ohio Avenue and Washington Street around noon Monday. The minivan collided with a car before crashing into the guy wires. The street was blocked off due to the downed utility line lying across Ohio Avenue. No one was hurt.
