THURSDAY

-1:17 a.m.: disorderly conduct. Police arrested David W. Sharp, 50, 202 N. Walnut Ave., at 126 N. Ohio Ave. on two counts of disorderly conduct and one count of resisting arrest.

WEDNESDAY

-1:26 p.m.: theft. Curtis Cupp, 510 Buckeye Ave., reported $50 cash was stolen from his residence.

-12:51 p.m.: theft. Jordan Baker, 1423 Langdon Drive, reported someone deposited several checks and withdrew $1,200 from his bank account.

-11:45 a.m.: trafficking in drugs. Police found a bag of marijuana at 230 E. North St.​

-8:54 a.m.: contempt. Police arrested Daryl R. Lee, 25, of Toledo, on a warrant from Sidney Municipal Court.

Accidents

Olive M. Clark, 93, 1855 Riverside Drive, was cited with failure to control after an accident Wednesday at 12:52 p.m.

Clark was on Fair Road, approaching Water Street. A pickup truck driven by Benjamin M. Perreira, 35, of Piqua, was westbound on Water, approaching Fair. Clark attempted to turn right onto Water and crossed the double-yellow line, hitting the truck.

• Kevin R. Chandler, 54, of Beavercreek, was cited with a turning violation after an accident Monday at 12:04 p.m.

Chandler was southbound on Ohio Avenue in the right lane of the one-way street. He attempted to turn left onto Washington Street and struck a car that was southbound in the left lane. That car, driven by Carole E. Leffler, 73, 1711 Port Jefferson Road, came to rest near a utility pole and a support wire and a wire broke off the pole.

• A pedestrian jumped back and fell when she saw a car approaching in an accident Monday at 5:17 p.m.

Roberta Beck, 76, 313 E. Court St., Apt. B, was walking on the sidewalk in the 100 block of East Court Street and thought a car had stopped to let her cross the US Bank driveway. The driver of the car, Amber N. Yingst, 29, 441 Riverside Drive, told police she had stopped because she thought something was wrong with her car. She then proceeded forward. There was a question as to whether the car bumped Beck’s leg and she then jumped back and fell, or she fell without the car hitting her. After talking to witnesses, police determined Beck apparently was not hit. The Sidney Department of Fire & Emergency Services took Beck to Wilson Memorial Hospital.

• Elizabeth Herring, 73, 632 Folkerth Ave., Lot 33, was cited with failure to yield the right of way after an accident Tuesday at 12:38 p.m.

Herring was exiting from a parking lot at 200 W. Michigan St. and sideswiped a car as she attempted to enter the eastbound lane. The driver of the other auto was Peter J. Hasselbeck, 58, 5860 State Route 47, Houston.

• Renee A. Copsey, 46, of Piqua, was cited with failure to maintain an assured clear distance after an accident Tuesday at 4:49 p.m.

Copsey was stopped southbound on Vandemark Road, north of Michigan Street. Copsey said she let her foot off the brake by accident and struck an auto stopped in front of her. The driver of the other auto was Linda L. Davis, 53, 9249 Hardin-Wapakoneta Road.

• Jenna J. Jarrett, 16, 5974 Hardin-Wapakoneta Road, was cited with failure to yield the right of way after an accident Wednesday at 3:27 p.m.

Jarrett was southbound on Wapakoneta Avenue and stopped to turn left at Front Street. Her car collided with a northbound auto driven by Stephanie Jones, 30, 781 Campbell Road. Jarrett had nonincapacitating injuries. The Department of Fire & Emergency Services took her to Wilson Memorial Hospital.

Fire, rescue

THURSDAY

-1:21 a.m. to 12:43 p.m.: Medics responded to eight calls.

-5:27 a.m.: alarm. Firefighters were called to 1062 Fourth Ave. by a fire alarm. They did not find any problem. A detector possibly had malfunctioned.

WEDNESDAY

-3:30 to 9:40 p.m.: Medics responded to eight calls.

-10:52 a.m.: smoke detector. Firefighters were called to 115 1/2 Franklin Ave.,where a smoke detector had malfunctioned.
