Sheriff’s log

TUESDAY

-8:43 a.m.: vandalism. A mailbox was smashed overnight at 11211 State Route 362.

MONDAY

-8:11 p.m.: theft. Tomatoes were stolen from 6824 Main St., Pemberton.

-6:48 p.m.: theft. Glasses were reported stolen at 1354 Logan Court.

-5:56 p.m.: theft. A flag pole was stolen at 17887 Herring Road.

-1:15 p.m.: theft. A theft was reported at 3333 Russia-Houston Road.

SUNDAY

-5:47 p.m.: assault. An assault was reported at 19245 Botkins Road.

Accident

The driver was injured in a one-car accident Friday at 2:30 a.m.

Travis Denise, 26, 1064 Hazelnut Drive, was eastbound in the 9000 block of Ohio 47 in Turtle Creek Township when he went off the right side of the roadway. The car traveled across Hardin-Wapakoneta Road and hit a “no parking” sign. The car then slid across the roadway to the northeast and off the left side of the road and hit another “no parking” sign. The car then slid into a light pole and tree. The vehicle caught fire, but the fire was extinguished before it spread. Denise had nonincapacitating injuries. He was taken to Wilson Memorial Hospital by private vehicle. No citations were issued.

Fire, rescue

TUESDAY

-10:36 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue was called to the 100 block of Redbud Circle, Jackson Center.

-1:35 a.m.: injury. Russia Fire and Versailles Life Squad were called to the 400 block of Buckeye St, Russia.

MONDAY

-10 p.m.: injury. Fort Loramie Rescue was called to the first block of Greenback Road.

-9:20 p.m.: fire. Lockington, Port Jefferson, Fletcher and Sidney Fire, and Perry-Port-Salem Rescue were called to a garage fire at 3358 Leatherwood Creek Road. The fire was contained to a lawnmower.

-7:57 p.m.: carbon monoxide. Anna Fire was called to 213 E. North St., Anna, on a report of carbon monoxide. Firefighters did not find any symptoms.

-6:24 p.m.: medical. Perry-Port-Salem Rescue was called to the 10000 block of State Route 47.

-3:33 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue was called to the 10000 block of Sidney-Freyburg Road.

SUNDAY

-7:09 p.m.: medical. Perry-Port-Salem Rescue and Port Jefferson Fire were called to the 2000 block of Leatherwood Creek Road.
