According to the police report, Martin was driving recklessly and headed westbound on Michigan Street after he stole an ambulance from Wilson Health. He then turned northbound on Vandemark Road and hit a vehicle driven by Larry Adams, 75, 227 Sandpiper Place, head on. This collision pushed Adam’s vehicle into the vehicle behind him driven by James Darden, 53, 610 W. Hoewisher Road.

Martin then fled the scene on foot. He jumped into an SUV and tried to get the driver to drive him from the scene, but instead he was subdued by several citizens until police arrived and arrested him.

Martin, Adams and Adams’ passenger Rebecca Adams, 66, 227 Sandpiper Place, were transported by Sidney Fire Department to Wilson Health.

The ambulance and the two other vehicles were towed from the scene.

• Sandra Williamson, 55, 1347 Logan Court, was cited with assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle collision on Friday at 11:27 a.m.

Williamson was traveling eastbound on Michigan Street in the right lane of travel when she rear-ended the vehicle stopped in front of her driven by Ralph Richardson, 62, of Quincy.
