WEDNESDAY

-10:03 p.m.: criminal trespassing. Stephen Cheek, 46, 320 Grove St., was arrested for criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

-12:08 p.m.: theft. James Evans, 28, 432 Jefferson St., reported someone entered his residence and took a PlayStation 4, valued at $300.

-11:24 a.m.: theft. Annamae Catterson, 59, Jackson Center, reported someone she knows took her vehicle without her permission.

-11:01 a.m.: theft. Rocky Stone, 36, 106 Wilkinson Ave., was arrested for theft and resisting arrest after Sidney Food Mart on Michigan Street reported the theft of three packs of Starburst candy.

-10:38 a.m.: theft. Cindy Redinbo, 67, 5358 Franklin St., reported someone entered her unlocked vehicle and took her tackle box and Ohio fishing license.

TUESDAY

-6:55 p.m.: criminal damaging. Melissa Payne, 32, 1117 Hilltop Ave., Apt. C, reported someone damaged a tire on her vehicle.

Crashes

Brenda Six, 25, 834 Third Ave., was cited with failure to control following a three-vehicle crash on Wednesday at 5:43 p.m.

Six was traveling northbound on Oak Avenue near Maple Street when she struck the driver’s side rear bumper of the vehicle parked on the east side of Oak Avenue that is owned by James Reynolds, 356 Maple St. The collision caused Six’s vehicle to flip onto its top and James Reynold’s vehicle to strike the rear of the vehicle parked in front of it that is owned by Betty Reynolds, 356 Maple St.

• Kathryn Ruegsegger, 26, 822 ½ E. Court St., was cited with assured clear distance ahead after a two-vehicle crash Wednesday at 5:25 p.m.

Ruegsegger was headed east and sitting at the red light on East Court Street at Brooklyn Avenue when she thought the light turned green, accelerated and struck the rear of the stopped vehicle in front of her driven by Patty Wheeler, 42, 18827 Sidney-Plattsville Road.

• Joshua Danner, 29, 523 ½ N. Miami Ave., was cited for obedience to traffic control device after a two-vehicle crash on Monday at 10:17 p.m.

Danner was making a westbound turn from North Ohio Avenue onto West North Street when he struck the westbound vehicle on West North Street in the intersection of North Ohio Avenue that was driven by Heather Ludwig, 28, 1146 Riverside Boulevard.

Sidney Fire Department responded to the scene.

Fire, rescue

THURSDAY

-3:20 a.m.: fire. Firefighters investigated the report of smoke in the area.

WEDNESDAY

-5:43 p.m.: crash. Crews responded to an automobile crash.

-2:37 p.m.: carbon monoxide. Firefighters conducted a carbon monoxide investigation.

-7:01 a.m. to 4:57 p.m.: medical. Crews responded to five calls. One was an accidental call.
