Police log

THURSDAY

-11:08 p.m.: criminal trespass. Sarah Rotenberry, 32, 111 S. Wilkinson Ave. reported someone entered her residence without permission.

-5:10 p.m.: theft. Police are investigating the report made by John Castle, 50, 516 Oak Ave., of the theft of an Alpine car stereo, valued at $75, and various tools, valued at $25.

-1:39 p.m.: possession of drugs. Scott Randall, 51, Dayton, was arrested for possession of drugs.

-1:37 p.m.: forgery. The city of Sidney reported receiving a counterfeit $20 bill.

-12:25 p.m.: probation violation. Michael Ceyler, 54, 204 Doorley Road, Apt. F, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. He was also served with a grand jury indictment.

-6:44 a.m.: warrant. Kassia Alberts, 30, 822 Taft St., was arrested on a warrant.

Crashes

Nevil Hamilton, 51, Houston, was cited with assured clear distance ahead and arrested for driving under the influence after a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Hamilton was traveling eastbound on Michigan Street when he was unable to stop in time and struck the rear of vehicle in front of him that was stopped at the red light.

The other vehicle was driven by Lawrence Murtz, 71, 201 W. Poplar St.

Sidney medics responded to the scene.

FRIDAY

-7:07 a.m.: fire. Firefighters responded to DP&L on Campbell Road for a false fire alarm.

-3:01 to 8:35 a.m.: medical. Medics responded to four calls.

-12:52 a.m.: fire. Crews responded to a false fire alarm.

THURSDAY

-7:27 p.m.: service call. Medics responded to lift an individual.

-3:25 p.m.: fire. Crews responded to a false fire alarm.

-5 to 9:02 p.m.: medical. Crews responded to three calls.

-8:57 a.m.: to 2:54 p.m.: fire. Firefighters responded to two calls regarding electrical issues.
