SIDNEY – An Indianapolis, Indiana, man was sentenced Tuesday in Shelby County Common Pleas Court to four years in state prison for his involvement in an armed robbery of a Lima drug store in April.

Treyvon E. Manning, 19, was given two years in the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs, a second-degree felony; and one year each on two charges of aggravated possession of drugs, both fifth-degree felonies.

He was also fined $200 and assessed the court costs.

Judge James Stevenson ruled the terms are to run consecutively with a four-year sentence handed down in Allen County Common Pleas Court. Court records indicated Manning had previous arrests and convictions involving drugs.

On April 26, Manning was one of four Indianapolis residents arrested in Shelby County in connection with an early morning robbery of a Walgreens store in Lima.

A co-defendant, Senneca Blaze Rivers, 18, leapt over a counter and ordered a pharmacist to open a safe containing oxycodone at gunpoint, according to reports published in The Lima News. Rivers was sentenced to eight years in prison in Allen County.

Two other co-defendants, Abigail Elizabeth Lee, 26, and Quintez Hawkins, 19, were originally charged with aggravated robbery with firearm specifications, felonies of the first degree.

In Shelby County, Rivers will have a hearing on Dec. 18 to dismiss charges due to his already being convicted in Allen County. Jury trials have been set for Lee on Dec. 19, and Hawkins on Jan. 9.

According to a report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Piqua Post, the four were involved in a vehicle crash at 6:40 a.m. April 26 on southbound 75 near mile marker 87 while returning to Indianapolis.

During the investigation, a large number of pills were found along with a loaded handgun hidden under the driver’s seat. The report notes that 2,512 pills of 24 varieties with a street value of $18,985 was confiscated.

Upon finding a motel room key with a room number in the vehicle, troopers determined the four returned to a motel room in Lima following the robbery. Empty pill bottles from the robbery were later found in the room by Allen County Sheriff’s deputies.
