LIMA — The University of Northwestern Ohio is proud to announce the continuation of the Student Ambassador Program on campus. Known as RACER Leaders, these current students represent UNOH to prospective students and serve as mentors for current and future students. There are 10 returning RACER Leaders who will be joined by 12 new Ambassadors. The new RACER Leaders will be officially welcomed into the program on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 3 p.m. in the Crystal Room at the UNOH Event Center located at 1450 N. Cable Road. UNOH President Dr. Jeffrey A. Jarvis will present the new RACER Leaders with their official polo shirt to wear during the many events throughout the year.
A local student leader is Derek Shaffer, of Anna, in Business Administration.
RACER Leaders will offer advice and guidance about what it means to be a Racer to incoming students at Orientations, Open Houses, and on Move-In days. They will also participate in other extracurricular events and help new students transition into the UNOH learning environment.
