FORT LORAMIE — Rachel Stager, of Fort Loramie, has received a USS New Jersey Veterans scholarship award of $1,000.

Stager graduated from Fort Loramie High School this year and plans to attend the University of Toledo to study medical technology. She is the daughter of Beth and Scott Stager and the granddaughter of Doris and Matt Zimmerman. Matt is a USS New Jersey veteran and served during the Korean War.

Funds for the scholarship are donated by the veterans of the USS New Jersey to facilitate the higher education of deserving students.
