Hardin-Houston board wraps up 2016

HOUSTON — The Hardin-Houston Board of Education met Monday night for the last time in 2016.

They set their January 2017 re-organizational and regular meeting date to Monday, Jan. 9, 2017. The re-organizational meeting will be at 6:45 p.m., with the regular meeting to start at 7 p.m.

They approved Ryan Maier as President Pro Tem for the re-organizational meeting.

The board approved the purchase of a 84 passenger bus from Cardinal Bus Sales.

They employed Erica Jester as a substitute bus driver and Ashlan Phipps as a substitute custodian, as well as accepted the resignation of Jamie Riffell, as junior varsity baseball coach.

They approved all treasurer recommendations and authorized renewal of membership to Ohio School Boards Association for 2017, and to include subscriptions for School Management News and Briefcase.

The board also approved the Hardin-Houston Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement for Weight Room.
