JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center FCCLA, a satellite program of the Upper Valley Career Center, has recently returned from state FCCLA competition, where five of its eight teams qualified to advance to the national FCCLA competition in Nashville, Tennessee, in July.

Seven of the chapter’s eight teams earned gold ratings, while six teams placed in the top three in the state. The chapter is advised by Vicki Kipker.

The chapter earned first place in the state in Entrepreneurship Sr., Chapter Service Display Jr. and Chapter Service Project Portfolio Jr. The Sports Nutrition Jr. team and the Food Innovations Sr. team earned second place in the state. The Food Innovations Jr. team earned a third-place rating.
