MINSTER — Spirit Week activities are filling this week’s hallways and classrooms in Minster High School.
They’re all leading up to the 2017 homecoming, which will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 13, with afternoon tailgating, the crowning of the homecoming king and queen at 7:05 p.m., and a football game against the New Bremen Cardinals and Saturday, Oct. 14, at a dance in the high school from 8 to 11 p.m.
Candidates for homecoming queen are Cassie Francis, daughter of Greg and Jenni Francis; Taylor Kogge, daughter of Marc and Sheri Kogge and the late Melissa Kogge; Jenna Nixon, daughter of Tim and Trina Nixon; Alice Schmiesing, daughter of John and Jamie Schmiesing; Kendra Thien, daughter of Tim and Theresa Thien; and Regan Wuebker, daughter of Joel and Christy Wuebker.
King candidates are Jared Heitkamp, son of Brad and Tracy Heitkamp; Jared Huelsman, son of Brian and Gayle Huelsman; Jeremy Kauffman, son of Brian and Karen Kauffman; Alex Lehmkuhl, son of Kristin Lehmkuhl and Craig Lehmkuhl; Max Prenger, son of Joe and Tonya Prenger; and Isaac Schmiesing, son of Rogell and Caray Schmiesing.
Freshman attendants will be Jenna Heuker, daughter of Matt and Joann Heuker, and Cory Schulze, son of Brenda Schulze. Sophomore attendants will be Mara Schmiesing, daughter of Rogell and Caray Schmiesing, and Justin Mox, son of Andy and Amy Mox. Junior attendants will be Danielle Barhorst, daughter of Brian and Chris Barhorst, and Jacob Larger, son of Marc and Amy Larger.
