JACKSON CENTER — “Join Us on the Red Carpet” is the theme for the 2017-2018 homecoming ceremony set at Jackson Center High School.
The homecoming crowning ceremony is scheduled for Dec. 8, before the boys’ junior varsity game against Russia High School. The Tiger Marching Band, under the direction of Randy Johnson, will perform at 5:30 p.m. After their performance, the candidates for king and queen and the court will be introduced.
The candidates for queen are Andrea Allenbaugh, daughter of Alicia Allenbaugh; Connor Pipke, daughter of Charlie and Mindy Pipke; and Madilynn Platfoot, daughter of Scott and Cathy Platfoot.
The candidates for king are James Gambrel, son of James Gambrel and Shana Bower; Coltin Rose, son of Jeff and Amy Morris; and Bryce Sosby, son of Dwaine and Tina Sosby.
The freshman attendants are Kennedy Jackson, daughter of Anthony and Stephanie Jackson, and Ian Platfoot, son of Jason and April Platfoot.
The sophomore attendants are Lauren Fark, daughter of Jesse and Kelly Fark, and Christopher Elchert, son of Scott and Leisha Elchert.
The junior attendants are Chloe Reese, daughter of Quentin and Lisa Reese, and Jarrett Yinger, son of Jake and Breezy Yinger.
Kindergarten crown bearers are Claire Morris, daughter of Jeff and Amy Morris, and Bryson Scott, son of Ryan and Dawn Scott.
The 2017 royalty, Cassie Meyer and Collin Meyer, will crown the king and queen.
The annual dance, sponsored by the JCHS Student Council for Jackson Center High School students in the ninth through 12th grades, will be in the cafetorium, Dec. 9, from 8 to 11 p.m.
