Wreaths Across America

Brian Sowers, funeral director at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home in Piqua, and Jim Roth, superintendent of Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua, place live wreaths at the Veterans Memorial in Piqua and on the graves of veterans throughout the cemetery, honoring all veterans who have faithfully served our country. For more than 10 years, Melcher-Sowers provided the wreaths as part of the “Wreaths Across America” program. This week, millions of live wreaths were placed on veterans graves in local and national cemeteries across the U.S. “We are proud to be a part of this program to honor all Veterans who have served and paid the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our country’s freedom,” Sowers said.
