SIDNEY — Women Walking in the Word invite all to come to the Ninth Annual Retreat to be held from Thursday, March 17, to Saturday, March 19, at Northtowne Church of God, 2008 Wapakoneta Ave.

The theme is “A Heart God Can Dwell In.” This year, participants will ‘Worship in Pink’ for breast cancer awareness. Also, in an effort to fight breast cancer, on Thursday, March 17, a mammography machine will be at the Days Inn, 400 Folkerth Ave., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for scheduled mammograms.

Sessions for the retreat are:

Participants will have a fireside chat at the Days Inn after the Friday evening service.

Facilitators are married women — Mother Sharon Bradford, Hamilton; single women — Pastor Pamela Mattox, Columbus; and brotherhood — Bishop Bennet, Richmond, Indiana.

“As we praise our way in and through this Ninth Annual Retreat with a theme, ‘A Heart God Can Dwell In,’ my prayer is that we be open for a self-examination and see if we are truly in the faith,” Pastor Sharon Henderson said. “Expect a miracle, an elevation, a healing, a delivering and a blessing and allow God to show up and show out, purge all unnecessary baggage, so that we can fulfill the Scripture; ‘Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me,’ (John 15:4).”
