SIDNEY — The First Baptist Church, 309 E. North St., is holding vacation Bible school this week, July 13-17, from 6:30 to 8:35 pm. at the church. The theme for the week is “Bible Bast from the Past.”

Each day begins at Blast tot he Pat Bash where kids will sing, shout, praise, pray and be introduced to a Bible story and the daily theme. After they experience the other activities of the day, they will gather back at Bible Blast to the Past Bash to be encouraged to love God and to be motivated to serve others.

Other sites at Bible Blast to the Past include Timeless Truth Ten where kids will explore the Bible story in a variety of interactive ways; Backtrack Bazaar where they have time to move about, have fun and fill up on snacks; Discovery Ruins where they will discover ancient arts and facts through science and crafts; and Mission Quest Cave where they are encouraged to serve others.

All the activities connect to the Bible story, Bible memory and the timeless truth of God’s everlasting love.
