BOTKINS — Several of the churches of the Botkins community have been hard at work planning the Community Christian Music Festival that will be held on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 17. This is the fourth year of the churches’ outreach to the community. It is open to any and all to come and enjoy the music of many of the community’s talented, local musicians.

The festival will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, which is located at 301 E. State St., from 2 to 5 p.m. There will be hot dogs and cookies, which are free to the public. There will be a clown to entertain the children as well as face painting. The activities for the children will be taking in the basement – where the food will be available. The music will be shared in the sanctuary.

Many of the musical performers will be students of Kristin Vaubel, a local music instructor. Performers from elementary age to adult will represent all of the sponsoring churches – Only Believe Ministries, St. Lawrence Catholic Church of Rhine, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Botkins United Methodist Church.

The food and activities are free and offered as a part of the outreach to the community. The festival is open to the public.
