BOTKINS – The Respect Life Committee of the Petersburg Parishes is welcoming The Dayton Right to Life group to Botkins on Sunday, Oct. 22, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church basement, 116 N. Mill St., for a presentation called, “Now and at the Hour of our Death.”

This session will include an end of life panel discussion which will include topics such as Church Teaching on the end of life; Assisted Suicide/Euthanasia; and End of Life Planning.

The Petersburg Parishes of Botkins Immaculate Conception, Fryburg St. John, Rhine St. Lawrence and Wapakoneta St. Joseph are named for the now-vanished Petersburg settlement (between Wapakoneta and Botkins on Santa-Fe New Knoxville Road) from which the parishes emerged in the 19th century. They are served by the Rev. Patrick Sloneker and the Rev. Sean Wilson. For more information about the event, contact Tim Dietz, 419-639-2753, the Petersburg Parishes’ Facebook page, the My Parish app or any of the local parish offices.
