FISH is seeking volunteers

To the editor:

In the days we are living in now we seem to have more to do than hours to get things completed. Those of us at FISH certainly can identify with that. We all need to “stop and smell the roses.” We are so blessed with support from our community; either by a small bag of donations, a truck load of items, food and personal items, or a monetary donation that we may forget to say “THANK YOU”!

There are times when we have several vehicles lined up at the back of our store with items for us, and it can get very hectic. I want to take this opportunity to show our appreciation to everyone for that support. You make it possible for us to continue to help the less fortunate citizens of our community. We can’t be an island to ourselves, but reach out to others. I feel we need to help our own first. You are helping us do that.

Our business continues to grow every day and we need more volunteers! We have some volunteers that have moved away, others that are having some medical issues, or a family member that needs them at home. We have some volunteers that have been with FISH since our beginning.

You can set your hours or days you want to work. There are several areas where we need help. Please stop by our store and talk with one of our “FISH family members,” or contact us by phone. We certainly don’t want to have to shorten our hours of operation due to a lack of volunteers.

Blessings and a big thank you to everyone for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Becky Gillman

FISH President
