MINSTER — Minster High School has lost its second legendary coach in as many weeks after head girls basketball coach Nann Stechschulte announced her resignation from the post after 27 years and a lot of victories at the school.

Her decision comes a week after longtime head boys basketball coach Mike Lee announced his retirement after 23 seasons and 314 victories at Minster.

Stechschulte is a Minster High School graduate who returned to her alma mater after a stint as the head coach at Oak Hills High School in Cincinnati, where she recorded 84 victories.

At Minster, she led her teams to 440 more wins for a career total of 524, which would put her up near the top 10 all-time among girls basketball coaches in Ohio.

Her last team this past season finished with a 21-5 record and won a district championship before falling in the Division 4 regional tournament.

The district chamnpionship was the ninth for Stechschulte, who also had 18 sectional titles.

She led her teams to three regional titles, and went on to win the state championship in 1998 and 2004.
