MINSTER — The Minster Wildcats made it two in a row to start the season, beating Russia 5-1 in non-league baseball Tuesday.

Isaac Dorsten pitched for Minster and allowed just three hits.

Josh Nixon had a triple to lead Minster’s six-hit attack.

Minster is 2-0 and Russia 1-1.

Bremen 3, Houston 2

NEW BREMEN — New Bremen and Houston were deadlocked at 2-2 until the bottom of the seventh, when the Cardinals pushed a run across to pull out a 3-2 victory in non-league baseball Tuesday night.

The win gave the Cards their first of the season. They now stand at 1-2. Houston is 1-2.

New Bremen was led at the plate by Grant Selby, who had two hits. Isaiah Beaver got two hits for the Wildcats.

Dylan Hensley pitched well for Houston, allowing five hits while striking out five. Greg Parker fanned six in 51/3 innings for Bremen. Caleb Alig came on in relief and got the win.
