Fairlawn golfers shoot 155to set a new school record

SIDNEY — The Fairlawn Jets found the Moose Golf Course in Sidney much to their liking Thursday in a dual match with Sidney.

The Jets won 155-171, and the 155 set a new school 9-hole record, breaking the old mark of 159 that had stood for 20 years.

Mason Jones and Kody Curtner both shot 38, Jacob Caldwell 39 and Nathan Lessing 40.

For Sidney, Ben Spangler led with a 41, Jared Lindsay had a 42, Mitch Larger 43 and Ian Knasel 45.

Loramie 166, Versailles 168

MINSTER — Fort Loramie hosted Versailles in boys golf at Arrowhead Thursday and came away with a 2-stroke victory, 166-168.

The Redskins were led by Brad Gottemoeller with a 36. Craig Eilerman had a 40, Eli Rosengarten 44 and Mitchell Puthoff 46.

For the Tigers, Nicholas Litten-Stonebraker and Kyle Cotner both shot 39, Alex Groff had a 44, and both Isaac Ruhenkamp and Connor Van Skyock shot 46.

There was also a junior varsity match, won by Loramie 183-187.

For Loramie, Ethan Broerman and Alex Wilt both shot 43, Jared Middendorf 48 and Clay Eilerman 49.

For Versailles, Will Eversole had a 42, Austin Pleiman 46, Ethan Kremer 49 and Alex Ahrens 50.

St. Henry 158, Russia 191

VERSAILLES — Rusia lost at Stillwater to St. Henry in boys golf 158-191.

Dylan Cordonnier shot a 41 for the Raiders, and Jack Dapore added a 47.

Piqua 161, Sidney 189

Sidney lost to Piqua in boys golf on Wednesday 161-189 at Piqua.

For Sidney, Jared Lindsay shot a 41 and Kyle Noble 45.

Girls

Piqua 213, Russia 226

VERSAILLES — Russia lost to Piqua in girls golf at Stillwater.

Maddie Borchers shot a 46 for Russia and Kelsey Bachman 46 for Piqua to share medalist hnonors. Shae Borchers added a 51 for Russia.
