SIDNEY — Russell Road Church of Sidney will hold the Imagine No Malaria 5K Run/Walk on Labor Day (Monday) at Tawawa Park, with all proceeds going to help fight malaria in children in Africa.

One child in Africa dies about every minute from malaria. The proceeds from the run will help buy life-saving mosquito nets and other supplies to help the children.

The 5K will be held at Tawawa on Monday starting at 8:30 a.m. Strollers, wheelchairs, wagons and families are welcome.

Packet pickup and same-day registration at the gazebo will begin at 7 a.m.

There will also be a free run for kids 10-and-under.

A post-race celebration will include music, food and fun.
