SIDNEY — County leader Russia defeated Jackson Center in high school boys golf at Shelby Oaks Thurday, 170-188.

Zach Sherman led the Raiders with a 40, Jonah Counts had 42, Connor Monnin 43 and Gunnar Young and Dylan Cordonnier 45 each.

Drew Sosby shot a 41 for Jackson Center, and Brady Wildermuth and Bryce Sosby both had 48s.

Jets top Trojans

SIDNEY — Fairlawn defeated Botkins in boys golf action at Shelby Oaks Thursday 178-196.

Nathan Lessing and Josh Reck led the Jets with a 43, Kyle Noble shot a 44 and Ben Brautigam added a 48.

For Botkins, Josh Miller shot a 41 and Erik Greve had a 46.

Redskins down Pirates

MINSTER — Fort Loramie took on Riverside at Arrowhead and won 172-194 in non-league action.

Brad Gottemoeller led Loramie with a 40, Tanner Rosengarten shot a 41, Connor Rose 44 and Aaron Schwartz 47.

Landon Kelsey shot a 45 for Riverside and Jared Trabert had a 47.

Minster beats NK

MINSTER — Minster defeated New Knoxville 198-207 in Midwest Athletic Conference action at Arrowhead.

Ben Stubbs led Minster with a 47 and Adam Knapke added a 48.

Knoxville’s Hunter McMurray was the medalist with a 43.

FL tops Russia

VERSAILLES — Russia and Fort Loramie squared off on the back 9 at Stillwater Valley Golf Course Thursday, and behind Emily Knouff’s 1-over 38 and personal-best scores from Megan Koppin and Kayla Rosengarten, Loramie too the match by a 190-209 score.

Koppin shot a 45 and Rosengarten 47.

For Russia, Kara Barlage had a 49, Maddie Borchers and Alicia George 53 and Lizzie Adams 54.

Knouff shoots 35

Emily Knouff shot a 35 to lead Fort Loramie to a 193-196 victory over Lima Shawnee in a dual match.

Megan Koppin added a 47, Kayla Rosengarten 55 and Amy Eilerman 57 for the Lady Redskins.
