JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Lady Tigers remained unbeaten on the year at 6-0 and went to 2-0 in the County with a 25-12, 25-13, 25-14 win over Botkins.

The Lady Tigers got 11 kills, seven digs and four aces from Cassie Meyer, seven kills and three aces from Pauline Meyer, five kills each from Vanessa Winner and Erin Metz, Kamryn Elchert had 11 assists and four aces, and Camryn Hoehne had four aces.

For Botkins, now 3-4 and 0-3 in the County, Sami Vehorn had eight kills, Jenna Pitts 11 digs and Kayla Kohler eight assists.

Jackson won the junior varsity game in two.

Fairlawn wins

over Houston

HOUSTON — Fairlawn won its first league game Tuesday, defeating Houston 20-25, 25-19, 25-13, 25-18.

The Lady Jets, 1-2 in the league and 4-2 overall, got 21 kills, 24 digs and two aces from Audrey Francis, 16 kills and eight digs from Paige Vondenheuvel, 44 assists and nine digs from Chelsea Brautigam, and 12 kills and 16 digs from Mollie Roe.

Houston is now 1-2 and 4-3 and was led by Jenna Winner with 12 kills and 11 digs, and Sarah Monnier with six kills and seven digs.

Winner, Allie Voisard and Jenna Mounts all had three ace serves, and Mounts also added 15 assists. Katherine Everett finished with nine assists.

Houston won the JV game in two

FL downs Russia

FORT LORAMIE — Fort Loramie went to 3-0 in the County and 6-3 overall with a 3-0 win over Russia, the scores being 25-18, 25-15, 25-13.

Russia is 0-2 and 3-3.

Caleigh Barhorst had 19 kills to lead Loramie and Maddie Brandewie had 26 assists. Taylor Ernst had 16 digs and Caleigh Barhorst added 11.

NK in easy win

SPENCERVILLE — New Knoxville was way too much for Spencerville on the road Tuesday, winning 3-0 on scores of 25-4, 25-6, 25-8.

Madison Lammers, Brianna Jurosic, Shayna Bierlein and Jenna Schwieterman all had four kills for the 4-3 Lady Rangers, Kenzie Schroer had 21 assists and nine aces, Abby Lageman had 12 digs, and Schwieterman added five aces.

SATURDAY

Botkins tops Sidney

BOTKINS — Sidney sank to 1-7 on the season after losing 3-0 to Botkins in high school volleyball action Saturday.

The scores were 25-17, 25-22, 25-23.

Botkins is now 3-3.

For the Lady Trojans, Taylor Doseck had eight kills and Sami Vehorn five. Kayla Kohler and Blake Maurer finished with 10 assists apiece and Jenna Pitts led the defense with 28 digs.

For the Lady Jackets, Adrienna Cook led in kills with six, McKenzie Lambdin had 10 digs, Amanda Thomas and Grace Shell eight each and Kiana Calvert seven. Thomas also had three solo blocks.

The junior varsity game was won by Sidney 25-13, 23-25, 25-22.

Payton Boshears served five aces and Maddie White four for Sidney, while Alina Kindle and Jada Rowland had seven kills apiece and Laura Brady six. White with 14 and Kindle with 13 led in digs.

JC beats NB

NEW BREMEN — Jackson Center went to 5-0 on the season with a 25-15, 25-14, 25-22 victory over New Bremen Saturday.

The Lady Tigers were led by Cassie Meyer, who had 11 kills, 16 digs and three aces. Pauline Meyer and Alicia Kessler both had seven kills and Christen Ware six. Peyton Esser had 12 digs, Kamryn Elchert 21 assists, Jayel Frye 10 assists and Erin Metz four kills.

Lady Jets win 3-0

DEGRAFF — Fairlawn defeated Riverside in three games, 25-18, 28-26, 25-17 in non-league action Saturday.

Fairlawn, now 3-2, got nine kills and 13 digs from Audrey Francis, nine kills from Mollie Roe, six kills from Paige Vondehueuvel, and Chelsea Brautigam had 31 assists.

For Riverside, Marissa Davis had 16 kills and 16 digs. Lauryn Davis added 12 digs and Lauren Anderson 10. Alexis Snow handed out 13 assists. Davis and Aubrey Stevens had two aces each.

Bremen won the JV game in three.

Riverside is now 4-4.

Versailles downs FL

VERSAILLES — Fort Loramie had its winning streak ended in a tough five-game loss to Versailles Saturday.

Versailles won the first two 25-21, 25-20, but Loramie came back to take the next two 25-22, 26-24. Versailles then won 15-9.

For Loramie, Caleigh Barhorst had 15 kills and Sara Stang 10. Maddi Brandewie had 27 assists, Maddi Brandewie 15 digs, Taylor Ernst and Sara Stang 15 digs and Barhorst 13.

The JV team won 2-0 to remain undefeated.

Houston wins 3-1

HOUSTON — Houston defeated visiting Ansonia in four Saturday, 25-7, 22-25, 25-22, 25-15 to go to 4-2 on the year.

Jenna Winner had 12 kills, Sarah Monnier eight and Jenna Mounts six for Houston. Winner also had three blocks and two aces, Monnier two blocks and six digs, Allie Voisard had seven digs and Kathering Everett six.

Lehman third

SIDNEY — The Lehman volleyball team took third in its own invitational Saturday, beating Frankfort Adean and Norwalk St. Paul and losing to McComb.

Lehman defeated Adena 25-19, 25-19.

Madeline Smith had 28 assists and eight digs, while Sidney Chapman had six kills. Madison Hussey had 15 digs.

Lehman lost to McComb in the semifinals 25-13, 25-12.

Smith had 12 assists, while Chapman had six kills.

Lehman defeated St. Paul 14-25, 25-23, 25-18 in the third-place match. Smith dished out 23 assists, while Chapman had 15 kills and 15 digs. McFarland had five kills and 15 digs, while Hussey had 16 digs and Sehlhorst added 11.

• Anna took runner-up honors in the Lehman tourney, defeating Minster 25-13, 25-22 and Norwalk St. Paul 25-18, 25-19, before losing in the championship to McComb 25-10, 23-25, 25-13.

Lady Eagles split

Christian Academy split two games over the weekend.

The Lady Eagles beat Urbana Christian 25-9, 14-25, 25-20. Kelly Curlis had three aces and 15 service points.

They lost to Ohio Eagles, winning the first game 25-21 then losing 25-21, 25-23. Emma Abbott served nine points.
