SIDNEY – The Sidney High girls tennis team won 5-0 over visiting Trotwood in Greater Western Ohio Conference North action at the high school Tuesday.

The Lady Jackets won two of the matches by forfeit. In the others, Desire Newton won 6-3, 6-2 at first singles, Madison Frank 6-0, 6-0 at second singles, and Auanna Edens and Naomi Riegel 6-1, 6-2 in doubles.

Sidney is 1-1 in the North and 5-7 overall heading to Stebbins on Monday.

Lehman falls

Lehman lost 5-0 to Northwestern in action Tuesday.

Diana Gibson lost 6-1, 6-1 at first singles, and Allison Briggs and Ann Pennapara both lost 6-0, 6-0 at second and third singles, respectively.

At first doubles, Sarah Gibson and Alex Read lost 6-1, 6-4, and at second doubles, Emma Simpson and Melanie Brunner lost 6-1, 6-0.
