Lehman notched its second win of the season and kept the Fairlawn Lady Jets winless in a 63-27 verdict Tuesday night at Lehman.

The Lady Cavs go to 2-4 on the year and host Anna tonight in non-league play.

Fairlawn falls to 0-6 and is at unbeaten Jackson Center tonight.

Lehman jumped to a 24-7 lead after just one quarter and opened up a 36-12 lead at the half.

Lehman had three players in double figures. Brogan McIver led the way with 15, Alanna O’Leary added 12 and Hannah Fogt finished with 10. Fogt also had 11 rebounds for a double-double, O’Leary had five steals, and three girls had three assists each, including O’Leary, Grace Olding and Rylie McIver.

For the Lady Jets, Madison Pierce had 12 points.

Minster 58, St. Marys 49

ST. MARYS — The Minster girls went on the road and notched an impressive victory Tuesday night, beating St. Marys 58-49.

The win put the Lady Wildcats at 6-0 on the season heading into the holiday tournament at Lima Bath. The Lady Wildcats will face off against Bellevue in the first round on Wednesday of next week.

The loss Tuesday was only the second for St. Marys in eight outings this season.

Minster took control right from the start, sprinting to an 18-9 lead after one quarter. And they stretched it out to 32-18 at the half.

Rosie Westerbeck, who finished with 19, and Courtney Prenger, who had 16, got the Lady Wildcats off to the strong start, combining to score all 18 points in the opening quarter. Westerbeck had 10 and Prenger added eight.

Minster opened it up to 48-27 after three quarters, but the game tightened up in the final period thanks to big struggles at the free throw line by the Lady Wildcats. They went to the line 30 times in the game and connected on 13, and in the final period alone, they were just 4-for-18.

Marion Elgin 33, Riverside 30

MARION — Riverside fell to 1-7 on the year after a 33-30 loss on the road to Marion Elgin in girls basketball action Tuesday.

The Lady Pirates are back in action next Thursday at home against Ben Logan.

Riverside was led by Marissa Davis with nine points.
