Plattsville resident Devin Brautigam has announced plans to hold a K-3 football mini-camp on Jan. 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Apex Sports Arena on Vandemark Road.

Brautigam is a volunteer coach for Apex and has been coaching in the youth flag football league at Apex for two years.

“I’m highly passionate about football and I wanted to do something for our community,” Brautigam said. “I think sports are important for kids, especially at young ages. So I’ve decided to start a mini-camp for grades K-3.”

There is a limit of 30 kids allowed for the camp and the cost is $10 per camper. Brautigam works at Area Energy and Electric, which has provided T-shirts to all the kids.
