Alumni bowling tourney set

MINSTER — The Minster High School Alumni Association is planning its second Minster Alumni Bowling Tournament on Saturday, April 1, at Community Lanes in Minster.

The tournament will begin at 7 p.m., and bowling will be an 8-pin no tap with four people per team. The cost will be $25 per person.

Eight pins knocked down with the first ball will be a strike and the last game will be played in the dark.

There will be snacks, 50/50 jar, door prizes, top bowler prizes, a prize for each 300 bowler, team prizes, and raffles.

Anyone interested can sign up at Community Lanes or call Gary Oldiges at 419-733-7942. Bowlers can also sign up on the night of the tournament.

The event is also open to the public.

Money from the event will go to scholarships, awards, TV project for class pictures and history, designing a website, and other projects.

The Alumni Association is asking for help from cash donations or merchandise to help provide the various prizes. Contact Oldiges for the details.
