Lehman’s tennis team dropped two matches this week, to Alter and West Milton.
The Cavs lost to Alter on Tuesday 4-1.
The lone victory came from Griffin West at first singles by a 6-3, 6-3 score.
Sam Ritze lost 6-5 7-6 (8-6) at second singles and Ryan Goettemoeller lost 6-4, 6-1 at third singles.
At first doubles, Sean Toner and Elias Bezy lost 6-2, 6-0, and at second doubles, Danny Lins and Cole Kramer lost 6-4, 6-4.
“It was a nice win at first singles,” said coach Tim Ungericht. “A few points go our way at second singles and second doubles and we win the match. It was a nice effort against a colod Alter team.”
• The Cavs lost 4-1 on Wednesday to West Milton and are now 8-5 on the season.
West lost 6-1, 6-1, Ritze lost 6-1, 6-3 and Goettemoeller won at third singles 7-6 (8-6), 6-2.
At first doubles, Michael Wesner and Lins lost 6-0, 6-1, and at second doubles, Toner and Bezy lost 5-7, 6-3, 1-0 (10-2).
Sidney
Sidney lost on Thursday to Vandalia by a 3-2 score.
Prem Dev won 6-2, 6-4 at first singles and Logan Searcy won 6-1, 6-1 at third singles.
Daichi Urata lost a close 6-4, 7-5 match at second singles.
At first doubles, Michael Ferree and Chance Cheek lost a marathon match 6-3, 6-7 (6-3) and 7-6 (6-4). And at second doubles, Jersain Brux and Nobel Zhou lost 6-1, 6-3.
Sidney is now 11-7.
