Lehman No. 3 in Ohio

The Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association’s latest state baseball rankings have the Lehman Cavaliers moving up one spot to third place in Division 4.

Coach Dave King’s squad is 19-2 on the season going into a game today at Lima Pery with the chance to clinch an outright Northwest Central Conference championship.

The Minster Wildcats, 13-6, made a huge jump in the rankings this week, going from unranked all the way up to the No. 11 spot.

Riverside dropped out of the top 20 and is No. 22 this week, and Fort Loramie is 28th.

In Division 3 meanwhile, the Anna Rockets also moved up one spot, from 13th last week to 12th. The Rockets are 14-6 on the season heading into a game today against West Liberty-Salem.

Softball

The latest rankings from the Ohio High School Softball Coaches Association have the New Bremen Lady Cardinals ranked seventh this week, a drop of one spot from last week.

The Lady Cardinals’ Midwest Athletic Conference foe Parkway moved up to fourth after defeating Bremen last week, and the two play a rematch today at New Bremen. New Bremen is 14-2 overall and 4-1 in the league, and Parkway is 14-1 and 4-0.
