Staff report

The Shelby Oaks Ladies League met again Wednesday at the Oaks, with 20 players competing in the game of the day, which was “Pink Panther.”

Each person on the team was assigned specific holes to play that pink ball. The goal of the game is not losing the pink ball, making a decent score with it and then at the end of the round, returning it to the hostess along with the scorecard.

Five of the six teams were able to accomplish it.

First and second place was a tie between two teams with a score of 55.

The teams of Mary Lou Berning, Barb Rogers and Joyce Wick, and Joyce Jones, Linda DeVelvis, Michelle Lott and Marcia Shaffer tied for first.

Finishing third was the team of Ellen Joslin, Trish Hoying and Ann Engle with a score of 57.

And finishing fourth with a score of 58 was the team of Judy Doll, LuAnn Fultz and Sandy Weaver.
