Sidney boys golf narrowly loses to Tipp

VANDALIA — Sidney’s boys golf team lost a close match to Tippecanoe on Thursday at Cassell Hills Golf Course. Nathan Gagnon shot a 39 to help lead the Red Devils to a 171-176 win.

Jared Lindsey and Kyle Noble both had 42 to lead Sidney. Spencer Karn had a 45, Ben Spangler had a 47, Mitchell Larger had a 48 and Patrick McClain had a 54.

The Yellow Jackets resume GWOC American North play at Greenville on Monday.

Lehman wins tri-match with Fort Recovery and Botkins

Cole Gilardi led Lehman Catholic with a 40 in a tri-match on Friday at Shelby Oakes Golf Course. The Cavilers shot 170 as a team compared to 201 by Fort Recovery and 211 by Botkins.

Ryan Schmidt had a 42 for Lehman, while Tyler Lachey and Mikey Rossman both had 44. Griffin West shot a 48 and Brandyn Sever had a 52.

Nick Fischio led Botkins with a 40. Anthony Opperman had a 50, Alex Bajwa had a 56, Marcus Lee had a 65, Connor Stutsman had a 71 and Parker Geis had an 87.

Lehman returns to Shelby Oakes next Tuesday for a match against Versailles. Botkins plays again on Thursday in a match hosted by Houston.
