MRM Construction has started clearing the land for the construction of the new Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores at the southwest corner of Fair Road near the Vandemark Road intersection. Work began on April 20. According to Jack Eickworth, MRM Construction, the travel stop should be completed before Thanksgiving. In seven to eight weeks, verticla work will begin on the project. The travel stop will include a gas station, convenience store, restaurants, tire store, truck scales, and semitrailer parking. Hardee’s fast food, Godfather’s Pizza and Chester’s Chicken are the restaurants planned for inside of the convenience store. The truck stop should employ between 60 to 80 employees.
