NEW BREMEN — The 94th annual New Bremen Firemen’s Picnic will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015, at the Jaycee Park, which is adjacent to the Crown Pavilion in New Bremen.
The day begins early with a 5K race. Sign up starts at 7 a.m. A 1-mile fun run will begin at 8:30 a.m., while the 5K starts at 9 a.m.

A whiffle ball tournament will start at 10 a.m. The food and beer stands open at 11 a.m.
Local kid bands will perform at 2 p.m. Sign up for corn hole tournament begins at 3 p.m., with the tournament starting at 4 p.m.
Inflatables and pony rides will open at 4:30 p.m. The cake wheel and kid games open at 6 p.m. Games of chance open at 7 p.m.
A wood carving auction will be held at 7:30 p.m. The band Haywired will perform at 9 p.m. A raffle drawing will be held at 11 p.m.
Turtle races will be going on all night.
Proceeds from the picnic is used to buy equipment for the volunteer fire department, as well as a portion funding the educational fund. Every year, the fire department offers three $500 scholarships to graduating seniors.
The annual New Bremen Fireman’s Picnic began in 1921 and is the longest running picnic in Auglaize County.
