Tow truck workers prepare to tow an overturned semi-trailer truck at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday, June 10. The driver, Hezkie Keith, 54, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was cited for failure to control following the accident on Interstate 75.

THURSDAY

-1:52 p.m.: property damage accident. Deputies were dispatched to County Road 25A and Mason Road for a two-vehicle accident.

-1:22 p.m.: larceny. Deputies are investigating the theft of mail and money from a residence in the 8000 block of Fessler-Buxton Road in Washington, Township.

-11:27 a.m.: larceny. Deputies are investigating a report of the theft of copper pipes from a residence in the 14000 block of Sharp Road.

-9:06 a.m.: accident with injuries. Deputies, along with Anna, Sidney, Maplewood, Port Jefferson fire departments and Anna, Perry-Port-Salem and Sidney rescue squads, were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at Ohio 47 and Wones Road in Salem Township.

-8:07 a.m.: property damage accident. Deputies were dispatched to Miami-Shelby East Road and Ohio 589 in Green Township for a two-vehicle accident.

THURSDAY

-10:28 a.m.: medical. Fort Loramie Rescue was dispatched to the 11000 block of Ohio 362 in McLean Township.

-10:29 p.m.: medical. Fort Loramie Rescue was dispatched to the 6000 block of North Street in Cynthian Township.

-9:25 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue was dispatched to the 12000 block of Meranda Road in Franklin Township.

-4:54 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue was dispatched to the 11000 block of Amsterdam Road in Dinsmore Township.

-3 p.m.: fuel spill. Van Buren Township Fire Department was dispatched to a diesel fuel spill on Ohio 119 at Ohio 29 in Van Buren Township.

Accidents

A Wisconsin man was cited by the Piqua Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol following a one-vehicle accident Wednesday at 5:20 p.m.

Hezkie Keith, 54, of Milwaukee, was cited for failure to control after the accident on southbound Interstate 75 at the 92 mile marker. He was driving a semi-tractor trailer in the right lane of the highway in a construction zone when the vehicle went off the west edge of the road.

The vehicle overturned in the ditch and struck a road sign. It came to rest on its left side.

Keith refused treatment at the scene. Sidney Fire Department was dispatched to the scene also.

Traffic was backed up for several hours because of the accident.
