LOWELL, Mass. (AP) — A Massachusetts man authorities say stabbed his brother, raped a woman, kidnapped them both and fled to Ohio is headed to prison.
A Superior Court judge on Monday sentenced 21-year-old Keven Blakemore to up to 12 years in state prison and 10 years of probation after Blakemore pleaded guilty to charges including armed assault with intent to commit murder and kidnapping.
The Lowell Sun reports that two counts of rape were placed on file without a change of plea.
Prosecutors say Blakemore stabbed his adoptive brother, Ken Herbison, multiple times in their Boxborough apartment in August following an argument, and then raped a woman in the apartment.
He then drove both to Pike County, Ohio, where he was taken into custody.
