COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The young man charged in a Columbus shooting that killed a 7-year-old boy and injured others is being held on $2 million bond.
Eighteen-year-old Marctarius Grace was arraigned Monday on a murder charge in the death of Deonte Fisher.
Police say the boy, his 5-year-old brother, 4-year-old sister and 19-year-old Rayquan Holloway were in a car that was sprayed by bullets Friday afternoon on a parking lot at a market.
Police say the shooting was part of an ongoing feud between rival gangs and retaliation is likely from both sides.
The two other children injured in the shooting have been treated at a hospital and released. Holloway was more seriously injured but is expected to survive.
Court records indicate that Grace is pursuing legal help from the public defender’s office.
