CINCINNATI (AP) — Transportation authorities say late-night motorists could encounter short-term full closures of Interstate 71 this week in southwest Ohio for construction work.
The Ohio Department of Transportation says the Cincinnati closures are for work on a new interchange at Martin Luther King Drive.
Single-lane closures in both directions of I-71 will begin at 7 p.m. Monday, followed each night by double lane closures at 9. There will be short-term full closures between midnight and 5 a.m. All lanes should be open each morning through Friday by 6 a.m.
The closures will be between Taft Road and Dana Avenue on I-71 just north of the Ohio River.
Police will help with traffic, and arrow boards and signs will be alert motorists.
Weather conditions could change the work plans.
