VERSAILLES — The village’s 64th annual Poultry Days Festival will be June 12-14.

This year’s theme is Take Me out to the Poultry Days Festival. The 2015 festival chairman is Brian Pearson.

Festival organizers hope to set a record and sell more than 26, 101 chicken dinners during the weekend. Meals will cost $7.50 each. In the past, they have sold at a rate of 2,000 per hour. Daily sell-outs are the norm.

The Grand Parade will be at 11 a.m., June 13. The Antique Car and Tractor Parade will be at 2:30 p.m., June 14. Bob and Kathy Frey have been selected as honorary parade marshals. An antique car display at Versailles High School will preceed the parade.

The Social Tent will be the site of nine live acts beginning at 3 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m. June 13 and 1 p.m. June 14. Seating for 200 and adult beverages including Anheuser Busch products, a craft bar and a wide selection of wines and sangria coolers from the Winery at Versailles will be available. Saw Creek, Eight Ball and Empty Tank will perform.

There will be a photography competition, a 5K run/walk and the Mister and Miss SuperFit Challenge. Area high school students from FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) will conduct a robot demonstration June 14. A cornhole tournament, free kiddie tractor pulls, a 2-on-2 basketball tournament, flower show, bingo, displays, cake and egg decorating contest, and the famous Miss Chick and Little Miss Poultry Days pageants. Valley Exotics will be at the festival with a Reptile Trailer, Petting Zoo, and Pony Rides. The Serendipity Mothers will host nearly 100 vendors.

Also in the festival will be carnival games and rides at much reduced prices. Last year a wrist band cost $20 for four hours. This year, riders can ride all day for $20; only $15 if tickets are purchased in advance. Rage and Rocco, fire-prevention dogs, will be there. Bear Hollow Wood Carvers of French Lick, Indiana returns
