Painter earns psychology degree

SIDNEY — Stacey Painter, a 2011 graduate of Christian Academy School, recently graduated from Spring Arbor University with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology.

While at Spring Arbor, Painter volunteered at the Center for Autism Enrichment program, and served as a writer, producer, director, editor and actress in a film-making course during her senior year.

Painter served four years with the Department of Campus Safety, her final year holding the rank of sergeant. Her Cross Cultural Studies Program resulted in a 30-day visit to Germany in January 2014.

Currently, she is employed as a teacher’s assistant at Operation Rebirth, a Christian-based boarding school for boys, in St. Paris.

Spring Arbor University is located in Spring Arbor, Mich., near Jackson.

Painter is the daughter of Jim Painter, of Sidney, and the late Marci Painter.
