HOUSTON– The Hardin-Houston Board of Education held a special meeting June 1 to rearrange employment positions.

They declared a reduction in force for financial reasons and abolished a part-time custodial position and a two-hour cook position effective for the 2015-16 school year.

The board suspended the employment contract of Janis Ryan, a part-time custodian and changed her position to a full-time bus driver/custodian.

In addition to creating this dual position they created a bus driver/cook position as well.

The next regular scheduled board meeting is Monday, June 15, at 7 p.m. in the Hardin-Houston School Media Center.

At that meeting they will approve monthly financial reports and expenditures for May 2015. Approve high school related and athletic handbooks. They will also act on personnel issues.
