Children invited to ‘Hometown Nazareth’

SIDNEY — “Hometown Nazareth — Where Jesus was a Kid” is the theme of the vacation Bible school Monday, June 22, to Friday, June 26, at the New Hope United Methodist Church, 8985 W. Mason Road. The program will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each day.

At “Hometown Nazareth,” kids ages 3 through sixth grade will have a chance to experience what it was like to grow up like Jesus. Through Bible-learning experiences, kids will see, hear, touch and even taste what it was like to be a child in Nazareth, event organizers said. They will visit Mary, Jesus’s mother, to hear what Jesus was like as a boy. There also will be games, music, treats and a chance to participate in hands-on mission projects that will help other children in need.

Preregistration is encouraged to help the staff plan. Register online at the church website, www.sidneynewhope.org; by email to [email protected]; or by calling 937-493-0065 and leaving a message.

The vacation Bible school is offered free of charge.
