Hardin-Houston BOE makes agreements

HOUSTON– The Hardin-Houston Local School Board of Education met July 20 and approved several agreements and contracts.

The board approved the funding for the resource officer for the 2015-2016 school year, in an amount that will be determined at a later date by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department.

They approved Andrea Kittel for $49,835 as a teacher and Title I Teacher and Coordinator for $1,000. The board also accepted the resignation of teacher, Kelly Steineman.

The board approved participation in the Southwestern Ohio Purchasing Council, entered into service agreements with the Midwest Regional Educational Service Center and approved the Memorandum of Understanding with the Hardin Houston Education Association.

They also approved school lunch prices:

• Grades K-6 $2

• Grades 7-12 $2.15

• Breakfast $1.25

• Reduced 40 cents

• Staff $2.50

The board accepted a donation in memory of Velura Cowan for $110.

The next board meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 17, at 7 p.m. in the Media Center.
