ANNA — The Shelby County Farm Bureau, Fertilizer Dealer Supply, USDA Farm Service Agency and Shelby Soil and Water District will host a meeting about the new water quality rules effecting Shelby County.

The meeting will be Aug. 20 at Fertilize Dealer Supply at 162441 County Road 25A, Anna. The meeting will begin at noon with a lunch and speaker, Dr. Chris Winslow, who is the acting director of the Ohio SEAgrant program on Lake Erie. Winslow will update participants on water quality research being done the Lake Erie watershed and his discussion will be followed up by a review of the new legislation effecting farmers in the watershed. A tour of the Fertilizer Dealer Supply facility will be offered to those who attend as well.
