MINSTER — Cassie Shrewsbury and James Davis, both of Minster, were united in marriage, Sept. 26, 2015, at 3:30 p.m., at the home of Naomi and Reed Adkins, in Troy.
The bride is the daughter of Patricia Shrewsbury, of Sidney. Her grandparents are Carmen and William Eberhardt, of Sidney. The bridegroom is the son of Brenda and Wade Davis, of Sidney, and Mary and Chuck Petersimes, of St. Marys. His grandparents are Naomi and Reed Adkins, of Troy, Rachel and Robert Fellers, of West Milton, and Jean and Jonah Brown, of Sidney.
Joseph Robinette officiated the ceremony.
Given in marriage by her mother and grandfather, the bride wore an ivory-colored, Maggie Sottero ball gown with a rhinestone-beaded, satin sash; an ivory-colored, beaded veil and a tiara. She carried a bouquet of sunflowers and daisies in turquoise and yellow.
Brittany Davis was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cortney Davis, sister of the bridegroom, Stacy Morris, Kristina hamaker, Cara Andersona nd Alice Cooper. Alivia Shrewsbury, niece of the bride, Sophia Smith and Cheyenne Luckeydoo, nieces of the bridegroom, Liann Morris, Sherry Morris and Emma Morris were flower girls.
Andy Waters served as best man. Groomsmen were Jeff Davis, brother of the bridegroom, Brian Davis, nephew of the bridegroom, Wade Davis, father of the bridegroom, and Cory Shrewsbury and Jason Shrewsnury, brothers of the bride. Brianna Radcliffe, daughter of the bride, and Dustin Luckeydoo, nephew of the bridegroom served as the mini bride and mini bridegroom. Christina Brown, sister of the bride, was the wedding director.
A reception at the Adkins’s home follwed the ceremony. The couple honeymooned in Hocking Hills and reside in Minster.
The bride graduated from Sidney High School in 2006. She is a psychology student at Kaplan University and a member of the Naitonal Society of Collegiate Scholars.
The bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of Sidney High School. He is employed by Willy’s Tavern in Minster as a chef.
The couple met in high school and were high school sweethearts.
