Davis, Comer unite in marriage

URBANA — April Jane Davis and Daniel Richard Comer, both of Urbana, were united in marriage Sept. 26, 2015, at 2:30 p.m., in the Earl’s Island Pavilion in Minster.

The bride is the daughter of Mary and Dean Snow, of Port Jefferson, and John Davis, of Sidney. Her grandparents are Mary and Danny Kimbler, of Port Jefferson, Joan Hawkins and Richard Snow, of West Carrllton, and the late Betty and Charles Davis.

The bridegroom is the son of Don Comer, of Urbana, and Lisa and Bob Ratcliff, of Urbana. His grandparents are Tom Comer, of Urbana, Lester Richendollar, of Urbana, and the late Lola “Jean” Comer and Phyllis Richendollar.

Thomas Kimbler, cousin of the bride, performed the ceremony. Music was by Sound Surge.

Given in marriage by her fathers, the bride wore a strapless, A-line, satin gown with a champagne-colored, floral sash. She carried a bouquet of yellow gerber daisies and baby’s breath with burlap.

Autum Snow, sister of the bride, and Katie Rivera were maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Cortnee Stiver and Elizabeth Christman, cousins of the bride, and Ashley Holbrooks. Rylee Mcnabb, niece of the bride, was the flower girl.

Matt Comer served as his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Aaron Phillips, Walter “Buddy” Stevens, Zach Crim and Joshua Holbrooks. Jaxson Comer, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.

Karen Valentine was the wedding director. Brenda Stiver, aunt of the bride, attended the guest book.

A reception in Earl’s Island Pavilion followed the ceremony. The couple will honeymoon at a later date. They reside in Urbana.

The bride is a 2006 Sidney High School graduate and is employed by Brookdale Senior Living in Urbana as a resident care aide.

The bridegroom graduated from Graham High School in St. Paris in 2006. He is employed as a farm hand.

The couple met through mutual friends.
