SIDNEY — Julia Anne (Hudgins) Miller, 67, of Sidney, passed away, Oct. 4, 2017, of natural causes, at the Sidney Care Center, Sidney.

She was born, March 27, 1950, in Sidney, to the late Kenish H. and Arvinia L. (Dean) Hudgins.

Julia was formerly married to Fred Miller III, and he survives in Chicago, Illinois.

Surviving are sons, Kenish A. Miller, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Michael D. Miller, of Sidney; five grandchildren, Philip D. Blackwell, of Richmond, Virginia, Michael D. Miller II, of Lima, Jordan A. Miller, of Cincinnati, Kiara T. Miller and Julius L. Miller, of Sidney; siblings, James A. Hudgins, of Sidney, Fred W. (Lillian) Hudgins Jr., of Piqua, John D. Hudgins, of Piqua, Marquetta Watson, of Cleveland, Albert E. Hudgins, of Columbus, Ola L. Robertson, of Sidney, Joseph L. Hudgins, of Sidney; sister-in-law, Linda Hudgins; and a great, great many nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family members and friends. Also surviving are best friends, Janet and Marquetta Smith, formerly of Sidney, and special daughter, Teresa Knoop-Jenkins.

She was preceded in death by a beloved stepmother, Othella Hudgins; brother, Charles Kenish Hudgins Jr.; and an infant sister.

Julia was a homemaker and a 1968 graduate of Sidney High School. She was formerly a faithful member of the Mount Vernon Baptist Church for 60 years with faithful stewardship. She was faithful in leadership roles at community concerts and events. While Julia walked the face of this earth, she prayed that the Lord would order her steps.

Family and friends may call, Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. with the Rev. James Bolling officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help offset funeral costs.
