PORT JEFFERSON — A Port Jefferson woman was killed in a one-vehicle rollover crash Saturday afternoon, Nov. 17.

According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, Brittany B.J. Jordan, 32, of Port Jefferson was westbound in the 17000 block of Mason Road in her 2002 Ford Focus. She traveled off the right side of the road, over corrected and slid broadside off the left side of the road, striking two trees in front of 17400 Mason Road, west of Port Jefferson.

Jordan was transported by squad to a nearby medevac landing zone, while resuscitation efforts were made. She was pronounced dead at the landing zone.

Deputies, along with Perry Port Salem Rescue, Port Jefferson Fire, CareFlight and the Shelby County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene.
