H-H Board of Education

HOUSTON — The Hardin-Houston Local School District Board of Education will meet Monday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. in the media center. Items on the agenda include approving monthly financial reports and expenditures for January 2021; adopting the school calendar; and personnel issues.

Minster Board of Education

MINSTER — Minster Local School Board of Education will meet Monday, Feb. 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the elementary school large group meeting room.

Items on the agenda include reports from administrators, approve the Memorandum of Understanding with the Minster Teachers Association Regarding Leadership Teams;the first reading of the Standards Based Teacher Evaluation Policy; approve personnel recommendations; and an executive session for the purpose of employment and compensation of a public employee and preparing for negotiations.

Sidney Zoning Board of Appeals

SIDNEY —The Sidney Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 4 p.m. The meeting will be held by a hybrid method, with board members in attendance in council chambers and others welcome to join virtually.

New Board member Ken Jensen will be introduced to the board at Tuesday’s meeting.

The board will consider the request of Mansfield Oil Company & Flyers Energy for an interpretation in accordance with a section of the zoning code as to whether contract/fleet fueling station, not open to the general public, is an appropriate use in the I-2, general industrial district.

Board of Elections

SIDNEY — The Shelby County Board of Elections will meet Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 10 a.m. at the board office. Items on the agenda include discussing duty assignments for the director and deputy director; issues for the May Primary election; poling location supervisors; fire inspection report; and staff evaluation feedback/quarterly updates. Also on the agenda will be discussion about the 2021 budget status/staffing hours’ post-election survey; business continuity plan; projection training system; and an update on HAVA grant accessibility projects.

Sidney Board of Education

SIDNEY — Sidney City Schools Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Sidney High School. Items on the agenda include a cost sharing agreement with the city of Sidney for the acquisition and installation of crosswalk improvements; personnel items including the retirement of Principal Keith Helmlinger and Transportation Coordinator Joni Renner; and approving requirements for a graduation seal.

Sidney City Planning Commission

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Planning Commission will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held by a hybrid method, with board members in attendance in council chambers and others welcome to join virtually.

New Commissioner member Aditya Sakhalkar will be introduced to the board at Tuesday’s meeting.

There will be public hearing on the request of First Troy Development for the rezoning of three lots on the east side of Target Drive, north of West Russell Road, from the I-1, light industrial to B-2, community business district.

Board of Health

SIDNEY — The Sidney-Shelby County Board of Health will meet Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. at the city of Sidney Council chambers and via video/teleconference. Reports will be given to the board and an executive session will also be held.

Jackson Center Board of Education

JACKSON CENTER — Jackson Center Local School District will meet Wednesday, Feb 17, at 7 p.m. at the school.

Items on the agenda includes an executive session o discuss the employment of public employees; accept resignations; accept the amounts and rates set by the budget commission; and a discussion on capital improvement projects.

New Bremen Board of Education

NEW BREMEN — The New Bremen Board of Education will meet Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. in the Diane Komminsk Center for Innovative Thinking.

Items on the agenda include reports from the principals and athletic director, approving supplemental contracts, honoring volunteers and approve a memorandum of understanding with the teachers association concerning the procedure for teachers to follow once the five calamity days have been used.

Tri-County Board of Recovery

TROY — The Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health Services will meet Wednesday Feb. 17 at 6:45 p.m. In keeping with orders limiting groups of people, the meeting will be held virtually, with staff physically present to manage the online meeting. No member of the public will be admitted to the board office without prior approval. Members of the public including the press who wish to watch or listen to the meeting may do so by joining the Zoom meeting. Instructions for joining the meeting will be posted at https://www.tcbmds.org/meeting-notices.html . The Finance Committee will meet virtually beginning at 6 p.m.

Sidney Tree Board

SIDNEY — The Sidney Tree Board will hold a special meeting on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 4 p.m The meeting will be held by a hybrid method, with board members in attendance in council chambers and others welcome to join virtually.
